z/28 parts

Hey guys, I know this aint a GM parts dealer but anyone have any idea when will the Z/28 parts show up at dealers? I gotta steal a few things

MS3DALE 08-03-2013 09:27 PM

Not until the Z/28 itself is being produced and out,and thats not suppose to be until the first quarter of next year,so I'd say late Winter/early Spring at the soonest.

ayousef 08-03-2013 09:31 PM

I wanted to get my hands on the fender flares >.<

OldScoolCamaro 08-03-2013 09:39 PM

...perhaps they will revisit what they did over ten years ago... and request a VIN to order parts, as they did with the 2002 35th Anniversary SS Camaro...

MS3DALE 08-03-2013 09:39 PM

And keep in mind, even once its out it may still be difficult or hard to get parts for it at first,I've seen it time and time again with new models over the years.

OldScoolCamaro 08-03-2013 09:44 PM

GM can tighten the leash on parts if they want, like they did previously...if the Z/28 is going to be all that, like it has been spoken, then it should be written, and parts restricted.

ayousef 08-04-2013 11:26 AM

they didnt tighten any parts off the ZR1, why would the Z/28 be any different? just asking.

They've already said parts would be available. But no specifics.

dekan513 08-04-2013 12:24 PM

yea parts will be available from what ive read. but if not im sure the stuff ppl really want , a aftermarket place will make them .. but dont think that will be the case.

they also said at the unveiling that anyone who wanted a Z/28 could get one.

Now the number 1500 keeps floating around

I would be just as happy with a SS 1LE with Z/28 wheels and its splitter/side skirts or the Z/28 itself.

I just want to know how much i need to fork over to make it happen

2cnd chance 09-10-2013 08:04 PM

Me too.

I'm new to Gm...is there any significance to the 2 stripes on the fender? I have seen them on vettes too

chevy 3 09-11-2013 08:09 AM

Some one will chime in on this but it's a track racing GM vett heritage thing. Plus I like them

In the Jay Leno video at the 10:37 mark, Al says that "..we're actually gonna offer the Z28 parts through our Chevrolet performance catalog so if you have an SS, you can start buyin parts to upgrade it with our own GM Parts."

Jay Leno Z Review

If that doesn't say it, I dunno what would. Enjoy!

I looked in the gm performance catalog last night and apparently they already have the Z/28 rear spoiler for sale. I'll try and find a link and post it.

Here is the URL:

Scroll down a little and you will see the Z/28 spoiler with availability stating that its out now. Could be a typo but that's what it says.

There were people doing ZL1 front end swaps before they even hit the streets so its possible.

That says 'spoiler extension' and I couldn't get it to give me a price.

+1:popcorn:

radrace19 09-16-2013 02:46 PM

The Z28 spoiler and extension might be the following part numbers.
22946170 & 22946171
They are listed as 2014 only but currently discontinued. I've seen parts listed as discontinued before they have been available before.

Keep an eye on these.
