Hotchkis 19110 Springs - Not all the same

Hotchkis came out with springs for the 10 camaros pretty early on and gave them part number 19110. partly into the 10's, GM redesigned the isolator and the Hotchkis springs no longer worked. They then relabeled the 19110 kits to 19110-BC. (this is well known on the boards, i have found) Now, the redesigned springs work with both isolators and are part number 19110. problem here is, if you buy a set of new old stock of 19110 you have no idea which kit you have (new or old design)

I recently had this dilemma and it turns out i got some old 19110 springs and was told by hotckis to just go buy the black isolators. found that the part number had been changed to the new isolators and i was stuck, in addition to that i didn't want to go backwards. Luckily (sarcasm), Hotchkis sold me a set of fronts so i can have the updated / correct spring. I really hope these springs are fantastic because i'm now into them pretty deep.

What a shitty deal!! Hotchkis should be more than happy to just exchange the fronts for you since this is clearly an error with their numbering system. Why should you have to pay for another set of springs?? Seems like an error with their customer service.

i went back and forth with hotchkis for 2 weeks and finally just bought the fronts. it was easier, didn't want to have a set of useless springs that i personally couldn't resell. I figured either way i'm out money and i lost but buying another set of fronts minimized my total loss.

Did you buy the springs used? I'm not sure how you could have received an old set. Glad you got it straitened out though. They are great springs and you will be very happy with the ride quality.

brand new in a sealed box. label on the front said 2/5/10. i emailed hotchkis after seeing that and the "bc" spring sets for sale. they confirmed i had the old style, pre "bc" springs. i paid way more than the "bc" springs go for ...

Did you buy them from Hotchkis directly? (the original set) Or from a distributor/dealer?

I bought them from an individual who bought them directly from Hotchkis. Apparently he had them for a few years. I was unaware that there were 2 designs to the 19110 springs, well, 3 if you include the BC but i consider that a different part number.
