Camaro SS RS Straight Pipe , before and after vid

As featured on homepage.

I wasn't particularly pleased with some of the videos of this, so I decided to make my own. It's done using a simple handheld camera and iMovie off my Mac, but I think it gets the job done. So check it out. Also, I have pictures at the bottom of the page... definitely worth checking out

Great editing, good job. Sounds nice as well. You almost blew over the Camera..LOL

Andro 07-15-2009 12:39 AM

Awesome song, cool mod. sounds good

Parker 07-15-2009 12:39 AM

Good clips.
I like how you explained the weaker launch with the mufflers still on:laugh:

haha yeah, that was pretty awesome. I just spent about 25 minutes on iMovie and threw it together real quick. I loved hearing it for the first time outside the car (no one else drives her!!), so I just HAD to get the movie made quick.

Thanks Andro, I appreciate it.

And Parker, I knew if I didn't explain that I would get flamed for having such a weak launch haha

hahaha well thanks. I just had to throw that in there. I have no problems with Texas though, no worries. I'm no psychotic hater. We're fellow collegiate texans

I agree, nice editing and an excellent demonstration. This mod is very tempting. I am going to install the Doug Thorley shorties this weekend and was planning on ordering a Cat back set up from either Borla or Corsa, but I may just try this for the time being since the price is so reasonable. Are the straight pipes SS or Aluminized?

Very nice presentation!

Hey, how's the drone? No drone. How'd ya know I'd ask.

I giggled after the modded start-up...

I have SS. I haven't heard any Camaros with headers and the muffler delete, but I'm thinking it will be a LOT louder, but I don't really know.

In all honesty, I couldn't tell much of a difference. This is because I got the straight pipes put on before the car was broken in, so I never ran the car flat out beforehand. But you should check this thread out: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26993

I was a little disturbed by that too, but even an Aggie is allowed to own one of these great cars!

Hook'em

That is one mean and angry car you have now, I hope you are not as aggressive as the car sounds, hate to see an Aggie getting a ticket mahahaha

Revo1 07-15-2009 12:16 PM

Sounds like a ravenous beast on the prowl for horsemeat with a side of rice.

I can't complain enough about CA smog regs...

haha well thanks for your approval, and for your allowance of me having this car. In my years of driving, I have yet to receive a ticket :D ...knock on wood.

And here's a couple pictures I snapped real quick, just for kicks and giggles.

as far as I know (though I don't live in CA), the mufflers shouldn't effect emissions...though I do hear they are a little touchy on the volume of the car

cam346 07-15-2009 01:08 PM

that is one beautiful car. that is by far the best color combination .
