lowering spring for factory shocks

Whats a good spring kit for factory shocks. Dont want to get spring that the factory shock cannot control. Thanks for looking

Hotchkis 1" drop are good

+1 for Hotchkis! They are a great match and ride for the factory dampers. Pfadt 1.25" and the BMR 1" springs are good ones to consider as well.

Please feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions or for pricing.

Best regards,

Our BMR 1" lowering springs (SP019) sound like they would be a very good option for you since you are concerned about the factory struts/shocks. Since these lowering springs only lower the car 1" the factory struts/shocks shouldn't have any issue controlling the springs nor should you see a decline in the lifespan of the factory struts/shocks itself.

Leaning towards the hotchkis, already have there sway bar

I have Hotchkis because of the same reason and having experience with them on my wifes Camaro. My wife has them too with hi flow cats and i hit the cats on speed bumps. Mine has of road pipes and haven't had bottoming out issues yet. I have scraped the front bumper on steep inclines. Other than that they are a little stiffer than factory but still a nice ride. I'd buy them again.

Odd, I have hi flows and they are tucked up high and not near the ground

i think that depends on the Headers you have.. mine kinda sits a bit low too.. and i have LG but ive been looking at lowering my car also.. might go with Hotchkis track package

Yeah, I have shorties so they sit higher up.

As long as you do not go beyond about 1.4 inches you will be fine. I like BMR 1 inch and the Pfadt 1.25 inch lowering springs. They both ride very well.

Yes, we have American racing long tubes

mamjn3 10-30-2013 12:10 PM

I have the BMR split drop spring set-up and loving it!! I also has Kooks LT headers and they are no way close to scraping.

Hmmmm. I 'm surprised no one has mentioned Eibach. Does the silence say it all?
