2013 SEMA Show - GM Booth - Chevrolet Performance Camaro V6 Concept

2014 Camaro V-6 Performance Concept
The Camaro’s 323-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 is left untouched on this show car, but the yellow Camaro V-6 Performance concept does gain some commendable chassis hardware. The show car wears a Brembo brake kit borrowed from a 2014 Camaro SS, while its suspension, dampers, and strut tower brace are carried over from the 2014 Camaro SS 1LE. The V-6 Performance concept also uses rear upper control arms from the 2014 Z/28, which Chevy says are presently “being evaluated” for its production performance parts catalog.

ok...so I'm impatient...where's the rest!?!?!?!??!

That Carbon Fiber Wrap looks good, but i hate "Fake" Carbon Fiber.

PYROLYSIS 11-05-2013 06:10 PM

I love everything except the design of the hood wrap. It's the same as last years V6 performance concept. This car would make a killer daily driver. Nice job!

Love the spoiler!

I like everything. The spoiler actually fits the 14's perfect.

Great to see the V6 getting some love again this year! May not have the "uumph" of the V8 but this would be a heck of a great performing and driving car.

KaBoom1701 11-06-2013 10:12 AM

I bet this improved V6 from GM is a real track monstor. I mean it has to be lighter than the V8 versions....

LAWMAN 11-06-2013 12:41 PM

nice!

Last years V6 performance concept had the 1LE wheels and ZL1 brakes. I said with the light weight if it made production it would be the shortest stopping distance of any Camaro.

Angrybird 12 11-06-2013 02:21 PM

Anyone else find it funny they listed the engine cover under performance......
Overall I like the concept. I bet that adding all that will bump it up into the 1SS/1LE price range though.

2010SLVRBULIT 11-06-2013 09:09 PM

sweet, now if they can only keep the price down, it'll be a hit.

Great looking car. The tail end looks especially nice.

I'm not a fan of the 2014's and apparently I might be in the minority, but it seems as though the body design has regressed from the previous years. :fear: With that being said the rear bumper design just looks to blocky, bulky, and the huge space leaves something more to be desired design-wise, whereas the previous one had the reverse lights integrated, the plastic diffuser has been enlarged which makes it look just a little cheap. Maybe it was a product of attempting to drop a little weight by adding this and reducing that.. :noidea: I understand where GM was trying to go with this car but I feel they should have leaned more on the retro side of things instead of the Honda Prelude-Cadillac looking hybrid that has been laid before my eyes. Maybe it will grow on me but I intend to stick with 2012 until then :) Here's to a 3rd gen inspired design in 2015....
