strut tower brace

im looking for the LE strut tower brace for a good price or another brace thats a good brace i passed up on a brace at the fest and now i wish i hadnt

Ir0nM4n 12-04-2013 08:07 AM

Just a fyi, the strut tower brace does not add as much chassis stiffness as you may think. Now if your going for looks then I can see the point of wanting one.

Sikoriko 12-04-2013 08:11 AM

Save your money. Buy an IPF SC

masonacdc 12-04-2013 08:11 AM

yeah I'm mainly going for looks

Sikoriko 12-04-2013 08:19 AM

With a SC bald tires are good looking haha

I'd suggest the BMR Strut brace Part # STB017 Bolts on in 5 minutes.

I knew going in that the bar doesn't offer much more rigidity but since my car had the holes for it to be mounted, why not fill them and go for the looks.
I got mine from an Internet site that I'm trying to remember but it's slipping me right now, for $135 delivered and it's GM.
I painted the ends myself and took some fine sand paper to the cross bar and polished it up. I like it and it goes well with my program.

placed an order for the GM strut tower brace through SinisSick on here and have to wait a few weeks for their shipment to come in but the price they gave me is well worth the wait.

I'm not trying to knock JDP out of a sale, but if you have a 2012, the 1LE one bolts right up and looks factory.

SeaCompiler 12-04-2013 09:06 PM

chozn4service, really nice looking engine compartment!

masonacdc 12-05-2013 08:23 AM

STB017 does utilize the factory mounting holes.

I love that brace. Very nice looking. Does it fit a 2013 ss and can you get it in red?
