Poll for a 3rd Sunshine State Camaro rally

Due to the heavy drop off of general owner participation in clubs, gatherings and even forums in the past year. We decided to put up a poll to see if having another is worth doing.

Make a selection and we will decide from there.

Just remember. This event always has been and IS open to ANYONE from ANY club or area. All generations of Camaros , Firebirds and T/A's are welcome.

Hey Dave wouldn't the thread look better if you put Florida in it. I knew it was about Florida because of your username on the thread but some may not know what rally you're talking about.

Indeed. However, they will know when they click the poll lol.

Fixed it though :)

What's up with the 1 would not attend :(

The club scene and even the 5th gen scene as a whole down here is not what it used to be a couple years ago, but the good thing about that is that it also spelt the end of all of the obnoxious bashing and animosity between the clubs. All that crap is what stopped me from attending prior SSCR's, so with that in mind; I'll gladly attend the next one wherever you hold it if it happens to come to fruition.

If you get enough support, just make sure to schedule it during an early Spring or late Winter weekend, because doing it at a time of year like right now is pointless. I haven't washed my car in 4 weeks because I've never had the chance - it's always raining.

I hear you on that one. It has mellowed mostly everywhere a bit. Was nice meeting you down at Super Chevy. Congrats on the win. If we have another rally hopefully everyone comes. Doesn't matter what club someone is in.

I'll be there unless it conflicts with a big race somewhere -- and since we are considering combining with a race event -- that's just a bonus!! But of course, I help to organize this thing....so my attendance is sort of assumed

Yeah, first time I've been on here in months. A lot going on at home/work, crappy weather and a lack of localized events has really slowed my participation. Would be good to see everyone again, the SSCR in Orlando was a blast!

I agree 100% I had washed my car 2 weeks ago for the first time in a month and it is frustrating that it rains every single day. And yes there are events with little attendance. So I wouldn't mind in going to an event if it is a weekend thing that would be good. And as well as it is done and given notice ahead of time so I can wash my car since this baby is a daily.

Milissa and I have not missed one yet. Get it worked out and we will be there.

"Build it and they will come"

The State is crying out for another full weekend event like SSCR2 was.

I think the fact that the last event was not in the heat of the summer really helped too - the florida heat is brutal and that puts a lot of people off the events happening in the summer (that and the guaranteed 3pm rain!)

I can't speak for other clubs but I know MFCC are all in for the events that get us all into a hotel to socialize for a weekend - thats why we are all headed down to Coral Springs at the start of August for a show - the events that get everyone away together are the best :)

definitely in, I,m sure we would try and get as much support as necessary...

daveagogo1 06-25-2014 09:05 PM

Keep the responses coming. It really is very helpful. We do have options on the table currently. Some better than others but, location is still open at this point. Time of year will 100% not be in the summer.

We are in also. Would be nice to keep the drive to within like 7 hours if possible for everybody and then it's not a long trip for anybody within the state. We are in regardless of time but like most people, July-August is just too hot to enjoy anything outdoors.
