2013 IOM turbo Camaro 1LE " Hot Cheetos" [COTW 8/4/14]
First off all I wanted to thank you all for taking your time to view my build.
Thanks to the help of my father who may rest in peace (passed away 5/4/14) love you dad.
I started with a 2011 V6 Camaro RS Inferno Metallic Orange. That was until the Camaro 1LE was announced and i instantly knew I had to own that car. I worked two jobs back to back for 9 months in order to save enough for the 1LE .
From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in a pediatric clinic as a back office medical assistant. And had only exactly 30 mins after getting out to make it to my other job in a private county club from 5:30 to hours that ranged from 10:00 pm to 2:00am. It was hell but it was worth it. All of those savings plus the trade in money I got from my 2011 RS. I placed the order in the same Chevy dealership in Santa Paula CA where I bought the first one, that's also where I sold the first camaro.
This is how the car looked before I sold it
The car was order to my specs. This is what I order. 2013 Camaro 2SS/RS IOM with Navigation System and NPP exhaust. Don't know the day I order but the day of delivery was 12/09/2012.
I took very little for the car being stock because I had already a huge list of parts here in my house that I bought while the car was being made .
This is a picture the day I bought the first camaro . Alongside with my father.
Here is the list of the parts that create my dream car.
-Turbonetics T76 Kit with Spearco Intercooler. 2 Evolution Wastegates 35 mm.
CAI filter. 5.5 PSI. Diablosport hand held tune. The car made 515 RWHP while still being 50 state legal. The car was used by Turbonetics as a "R&D" in order to check if the kit fit the 2013 model due to the change in engine bay by switching to electrical power steering.
My car at Turbonetics car show in "R&D" department to shot the kit installed and the kit on a LS3 engine next to it to show parts.
Spearco Intercooler and Duo 35 Bov
You can use stock air box and filter but I decided to upgrade to a CAI filter

Super Car Sunday at Woodland Hills CA
Here are some pictures of my car making friends with other camaros. The black one is my friends also Turbocharged
I'm very proud of my car. It's bee a long journey. A lot of time invested to search for the best parts as well as money. :bow:I would also like to take some some time to give credit where is due to those that have supported me. First my father because he also had a passion for Camaros he owned a 1st gen RS. My brother for always being there for me and supporting me with this project anyways he can. My good friend Rodolfo for taking time and patience to not only explain how everything works but also installing my parts and being a great friend . At Reggie at Turbonetics for being polite and working with me so that I got the kit installed, Brian and Ray from "FTK" Full Throttle Kustomz for the install if seats and roll bar. Thanks everyone this car is the way it is thanks to all of you!!!!
Slowly but surely all the hard work is paying off in several things. Here are some examples
Not only was my car used for "R&D" at Turbonetics it's also featured in the new Brochure of Turbonetics now that their Stage 2 kit is coming out.
It was also featured in one of their videos
The car also came out in a commercial by Krafts Velveeta
Here is the video of the commercial
All my hard work paid of on 08/04/2014 The car was picked to be Camaro of the week (COTW). Thanks for that opportunity it means a lot to me. Specially the picture that was Chosen, me with my father buying the first camaro.

Turbocharged and proud of it.
Looks great! Love that pic of you and your father...don't forget those special moments.
finally you started a build thread haha
I had no idea you had this much time in your build dude, looks great we are definately going to have some thinigs to talk about in the coming weeks
that's a nice journey and you've worked really hard ... much respect!
WoW... that is one hell of an OP.... Love it..:thumb:
Guarantee this will be COTW sometime soon.
Great build thread. :) I'm also going to be looking into the Turbonetics kit in the future. How is the lag? Do you do an spirited driving on the corners or on a road course? Also wonder if the 3.91 gears aid in getting the car going on the low end and then the turbo kicks in? Just curious how the power feels when it comes. Any future plans? :)
Awesome build bro. I've seen it in person a few times at car shows but I've yet to see it run, looking forward to it.
Stunning!! I can't wait to see this up close! Great job and great build!:clap2::thumbsup:
That there is some sweet *hit Lio!
Ummmm, WOW!!!! I am either a slacker or having kids in college has taken a bigger toll on my disposable income than I thought. Really impressive. Congrats on a kick @$$ project.
You have indeed 1 of a kind Camaro.
We at Turbonetics admire and often talk about your car, and all the effort you have put in it.
As a friend it brings me great pride to say I've helped build your car.
looking forward to helping you once more in upgrading your kit to stage 2.
Lio is a great guy, completely and utterly lost in the addiction of customization lol
can wait to see what you do next!!
Quite an inspiring story, and a great motivator. I will hopefully have a similar story to tell in the future as I plan on turning my SS into a Shelby killer, lol.
As you can see this car has been a big project . Well at least to me so it's been spending most if the time getting parts added. Have not hit the track yet. But that is the plan I'm planning a track day with some friends. I have taken it to canyon runs and I can tell you the suspension is just a beauty, pretty bad ass.
As for the 3.91 gears I don't have much on that because I didn't own a SS before it's hard to tell the difference. But from my V6 oh yeah huge difference . The shifting is way more solid . You throw the gear and it goes right it with no hassle.
Future plans are Turbonetics Stage 2 Turbo, Comp Turbo cam, increase boost and forged internals.
Then Twin disc clutch and 1000 hp axles.
Great Sunday went to a Car show at a Local Chevy Dealership with my friends
James, Benny and Patrick.
Small event but it's good got me out if the house for a bit.
Turbocharged and proud of it.
Stay tuned. Pretty Soon Stage 2 Turbonetics . Turbo cam. Increase boost and some other stuff
One of the Best 1LE's on camaro5 . Great build
I been having a blasting doing it. It's just sad my father is not around to see me finish it. But in his memory I will dedicate it
So much beautiful going on in this thread. I cant handle it
is that GTS rear window/roof spoiler painted matte black? wrapped? or a custom wing?
looks great, nothing better than boost! cant wait to see more
Yeah got to love boost. As a matter if fact can't get enough so pretty soon I'll be increasing it.
Nice car man. Enjoyed looking through the pics.
