I take it this is for Indy area dealers?

The Camaro Scotty Edition is still in R&D ;)

Wow more money for a set of stickers, I am as impressed with this as I am with the Transformer car. Booorinnnnggg.

It may not appeal to everyone, but if it nets more Camaro sales that wouldn't have happened otherwise, it's a win for GM.

Tactical Z 08-28-2009 10:54 AM

Not bad looking.

Primus 08-28-2009 10:59 AM

I love how the side view doesn't have a spoiler on it. I'm not impressed.

It also has the performance exhasut (GM catback), carcover and sill plates, plus it is a unique edition. Good for those who buy it!! For what you get, (including IMS delivery) I don't think it is a bad deal (notice that it is an automatic).

Isn't this announcement a bit late, seeing that September 9th is less than 2 weeks away? If people on this site didn't know about it until now, who did?

+3...and I agree with Primus that at least a special spoiler should be added. But if this gets more Camaro sales its always a win for GM!

lee93 08-28-2009 11:37 AM

They are only making 24. (Thanks Mike!!!!!!!!!) One for each dealer in the Indianapolis Zone. A few have been sold. Only Auto as far as I know.

cab2g 08-28-2009 11:40 AM

why not provide a manual option?

Morepwr 08-28-2009 11:40 AM

Rice. The "400hp" in the decal is pretty lame.

CloudXTC 08-28-2009 11:42 AM

only automatic?

rolnslo 08-28-2009 11:50 AM

Wow, someone needs to pay better attention when using photoshop.

Front/Rear views are of an SS without the RS package.
Side view is an LT without RS package riding on 19" wheels.

For some reason, I really hate the look of that side decal. Hockey stripes are fine but that Yenko styled sticker needs to stay in the 60's where it belongs. Just my opinion though.

I do like the hood stickers... :D

savage99ss 08-28-2009 12:03 PM

I love how the black decal on the side covers up the chrome camaro lettering. sigh.....Too much money for that....

thecamaroguy 08-28-2009 12:06 PM

I wonder why only 24.
Hopefully they sale more than 1.

SlingShot 08-28-2009 12:06 PM

It was also posted they would have the option to take a lap around Indy ..... The problem is, I think that grooved track would eat those P-Zero's .....

Van 08-28-2009 12:08 PM

Well...if the new camaro becomes a classic later, this particular model will be even moreso in demand because of its small production scale.

That's a big IF though. Anyone going to purchase this car in hopes of its higher value come 40 years from now?

I would imagine so.

and you should see The Greg Norris Edition

R&D is done, just waiting for the appropriate time to "unleash" it.

talwell 08-28-2009 12:34 PM

These cars will most likely be sucked up by collectors and put into storage with prospects of one day being worth something more.

PolishMike 08-28-2009 12:43 PM

ehh ill pass

kingspud 08-28-2009 01:03 PM

My opinion is that even though it is just stickers (and not very good ones at that), it is still a good thing to put out the special editions. The give chevy a bigger market share and the owners get a piece of history they can really be proud of. That said, some horsepower mods would be better than some stickers.
