Brand new CAI CF-8400. Needs recall?

I just ordered a brand new CF-8400 off amazon, sold by Sparktec_Motorsports

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The physical neck is the same length as the one I removed, but the lip which stops it from sliding further on is closer to the neck opening than my old one. (If that is the fault, the stated issue of "has a shorter neck" is poor)

I don't have a serial number on the UPC, but per the following picture, it DOES have CF-8400 stamped on it. Is my filter affected by the recall??

Or do the now fixed filters have the stamp as well?

EDIT: I see Sales @ CAI Inc posts with bolding/red about the recall notice causing confusion when a guy posted it. My main concern is the fact that I noticed that lip is closer to the opening of the neck.

Contact CAI and ask them what the measurements for the inner lip should be, and what the measurements on the recalled filter are.

I had mine recalled it took one email to have a new one sent and they provided a shipping label to send the old one back. Give them a call or email and they will set you straight
