Ok, ive got a 350 V8 in my 78 camaro.
im going to be getting a Holley 670 carb and a new intake.
other than that, pretty much everything else is stock.

Unless everything matches (heads, intake, carb, cam, exhaust, spark) you're just wasting $. A motor is only as strong as it's weakest "link".

When I was 18 I changed the cam, intake and carb on my 72 Chevelle. Guess what, it was slower when I was done. Should have dumped the money on heads (it already had headers). Oh well, live and learn.

Nine years laters, I made a better choice and just bought a crate motor from Summit to put in my 71 Vette. Never took it to the track, but she was pretty damn fast after that.
