As reported on Homepage.

She's here and she's out and about! The production version 2011 Camaro SS Convertible has been spotted testing on US soil for the first time. We have previously seen the production Camaro convertible in Australia, but this is the first that we have seen this car in North America (wearing Michigan plates).

As just recently reported, the 2011 Camaro Convertible has been confirmed to be entering production in the first quarter of 2011.

ljustin293 11-30-2009 09:57 AM

awesome, glad they are coming along!

linkwpc 11-30-2009 09:59 AM

I like it with the top down... but not with the top up... It looks like a tent....

duffmobile 11-30-2009 10:00 AM

I don't like the shark's fin on the trunk, but I guess there's no where else to put it.

jnewberr2ssrs 11-30-2009 10:00 AM

Very cool...But is it me or do the wheels look like 19 inch instead of 20 inch? For some reason they look like a different proportion to me

TheCaptain 11-30-2009 10:01 AM

AWESOME! :happyanim:
But it would look better in Blue! lol

yeah and the brakes don't look like brembos... but this is still a pre production car..

nice..can't wait to see it in other colors/combos!
don't know about that extra antenna, though.

SS-Eric 11-30-2009 10:03 AM

Dont like the shark fin or the antennae!

null_x86 11-30-2009 10:04 AM

Only thing I dont like is how low the windshield looks on that one... imo it should be about 3-6" higher... looks good though...

jnewberr2ssrs, yes those are 19" wheels, its a SS, no RS. Look at the badge on the front, its a silver SS.

Oh yeah wow I didn't notice the brakes either until you pointed it out...But yeah it's still pre production...If we really want to be picky about it too it has silver SS badging up front even though it's RS (look at the halo lights), but that really has no relevance to what's important...That it looks pretty sweet as a convertible - I like it at least :w00t:

maybe it can be incorporated onto the spoiler(as a part of, etc)?:iono:

The roofline is very close to the hardtop, very hard to pull that off. nice job.

Angrybird 12 11-30-2009 10:12 AM

it's still a pre pro guys, lets not start nitpicking the details... yet...

Looking good except it appears to be a V6 version w/ the SS front bumper cover. The exhaust is from the V6 (smaller exhaust tips), 19" wheels, V6 brake package (remember even the V8 test mules had the Brembo brakes), no rear badge.

Like everyone else the shark fin must go plus no backup sensors on the rear.

I don't like the 3rd brake light so high on the trunk. Think they could incorperate it on the spoiler. And the shark fin antena looks out of place. Just mho. Overall it does look good, just needs a few fixes. :)

TJ91 11-30-2009 10:30 AM

that looks great, Gota love the v6 with with SS nose and spoiler
Definitly has a nice rag top. Imagine IOM with CGM stripes and those vert concept rims!

TJ91 11-30-2009 10:31 AM

I wish they brought the brushed alluminum look with the front windshield frame

you mean Chevy built a Poser SS??? A V6 with SS nose and Emblem.. How dare they!!

Joking of course...

AdnanHfuda 11-30-2009 10:35 AM

it would've been perfect as a hard top convertable. im not a fan of the soft top (n)

fieldgoal00 11-30-2009 10:36 AM

anyone notice the key hole in the trunk?

I fully expect them to make it disappear like in the vette.
