Thank you Tap for the info. People like you who post great information like that above is what makes this site the best.
Seeing those figures makes me even happier I ordered a yellow,1SS,manual. Makes it kind of unique.

Cant be many 2SS's that arent RS's, cool!

cosmos366 01-16-2010 07:35 PM

So, I'm confused. The database shows 67,282 cars. The highest vin number is 83,351. Where are the other 16,069 cars?
It seems like everyone is using these numbers as "gospel" but they seem to be off.

These numbers are from U.S. sales only, so it only gives us a good idea of the percentages.

Angrybird 12 01-16-2010 07:39 PM

looks like the numbers are off by at least 13,000 cars or a possible error of 8%...I know My car is not on his list...

I guess we will just have to assume the same pattern for the other 13000 cars...

R6P 01-16-2010 07:42 PM

Can anybody find an R6P breakdown? I know that 13-14k was mentioned, but how many of each model?

The database was put together by UCF w00t, I believe it is based on the U.S. window stickers. You can read his post through the link.

I have never understood the big deal about R6P, all it means is your ordered the car early, my VIN is under 8k and my car is NOT a R6P car and I have seen cars higher that are RP6, in the long run I dont think it will matter at all except for sentimental value to the person who ordered it

skuttduck 01-16-2010 08:18 PM

I'm kind of surprised that CGM is less popular than RJT.

Bama_SIM_Cam 01-16-2010 08:29 PM

Just a few days ago Bob Lutz of GM was quoted as saying the V-8's were, contrary to GM's predictions, "80% of sales."

The latest Spastic Squirrel numbers show V-8's are 62%.

There seems to be a disconnect here too.

OUR72GTO 01-16-2010 09:27 PM

It was almost 80 % of pre orders but is slipping as the cars approach 100,000 units.

Bob was right the last time some one told him.

savage71ChevelleSS 01-16-2010 09:30 PM

glad I have an IBM 1SS, a rare bird indeed

cheaplabor 01-19-2010 01:59 PM

:thumbsup:i bought aqua blue because it closely matches my company colors, glad to see it's the rare one and discontinued, what luck

LLntaz 01-19-2010 01:59 PM

Seeing those numbers makes me REALLY happy I ordered my Aqua Blue metallic with the RS/SS package with the V8 motor :) NOT TO mention the fact that the aqua blue is discontinued booyahhhh!!! already a classic and mine was delivered in Aug 09...

v6sonoma 01-19-2010 02:00 PM

I'm just glad I have my car. It's #1 of 1 for 2010 camaros owned by me. Thats unique enough.

rays1417 01-19-2010 02:08 PM

I might have a rare one. 2LT Aqua Blue Manual Tran. Two things I don't understand, 1) I had a 68 that was almost the same color as the one I now have. Then I think it was one of the most popular colors and now it is one of the least ordered. 2) Why would you discontinue a color with in the first 8 months it was offered?

Goldman 01-19-2010 02:13 PM

Total 180 of ABM LS has been ever created. Woot I am the pround owner of 1!:chevy::w00t:

AHZUMSS 01-19-2010 02:13 PM

Roughly 5300 units 2SS's w/o RS pkg

:w00t:

CynAgain 01-19-2010 02:16 PM

Nice break down ~ Thanks.

I guess what it's really telling me is if something were to happen to my car I can get another one just like it.

Some how it wouldn't be the same

formuladan 01-19-2010 02:30 PM

Hmmmm...... 119 Camaro's just like mine now. Was better back in the day when it was like 1 of 8 nationwide. I'm still one of a kind in South Carolina through. No wonder everyone always knows where I am all the time.
