i do what i can

BBfan24 10-02-2008 02:24 AM

thank you very much. i've been asking about this for a few days now. i do have a couple of questions... what is the "SS cluster", and if i get the 1SS would the ambient lighting come as an option i can pick?

headpunter 10-02-2008 02:27 AM

you should be able to order the ambient lighting seperate and the SS cluster means thatthe gauges in the dash (tach and speedo) are special to the SS

BBfan24 10-02-2008 02:28 AM

nice. thanks much

tav8ws6 10-02-2008 02:29 AM

cant trust people to leave thier manual in N when parked, if they dont and they remote start it causes GM to have a sad face.....

but it's simple , they can disabled the ignition when the trans not in ''N''.

I hope they can figure any way to do the ''remot start '' cuz I like to warm up my car while im getting up from my bed :)

thanx again

as far as i know no company offers a manual with a remote start. you have to go after market for that as far as i know. it may be a law or federal thing

_GTO_ 10-02-2008 03:21 AM

yeah i think so .

So I will stick with the manual even if there is no remot start .

bye

fbird777 10-02-2008 03:24 AM

Thanks for the info, I guess the 1SS comes with cloth seats. I will definatley be getting the 2SS/RS.

SdustinK 10-02-2008 03:33 AM

so remote start will be on the vehicle when it launches?

13F20 10-02-2008 04:09 AM

2010 Camaro 1SS & 2SS.

I was interested to know if when you get the Camaro SS and you get the 2SS will you still retain the items listed for the 1SS or will you need to order the Camaro SS with the 1&2 level packages? I ask this for the reason that when I saw the items listed it did not say any thing about the 2SS package keeping the items from the 1SS. Furtther more most of the items listed for the 1&2 SS packages are from the RS packager. So would you be able to buy the items seperatly to sort of round out every thing? So if some one knowes somthing that is legit then please let me know. If you are just going to speculater then please dont bother to coment. I have a brain and can speculate all day long.

Check the sticky at the top of the page. It contains "the list" from Indy and explains the trim levels in detail.

Actually the best way to do it is the way Clifford does it.you have to shut down the vehicle while out of the car and the doors closed with the remote.that way it knows its not in a gear.if you open the door before starting the car with the remote,it will not start.but i dont ever forsee that coming from the factory.

BigRigMike 10-02-2008 08:09 AM

Awesome list. Thanks HeadPunter.

I am glad to see the auto dimming mirrors on both inside and out. This just might be enough for me to forget about HUD and pick up a camaro sometime next summer.

Dan 10-02-2008 08:50 AM

+1, electrochromatic mirrors are awesome.

Dan 10-02-2008 08:54 AM

In short, yes you keep the items from the 1 package and add the stuff from the 2 package.
