What else did you do to it? It's scary shiny.

Ferrarimk13 04-19-2010 04:37 PM

that that a 1LT like in your signature or is it a 1SS? If its a 1LT, you switched out the front fascia and wheels?

DragonCamaro 04-19-2010 04:39 PM

Looks like a Claybar and wax to me...mine looked like this after i claybar and waxed mine.

All I did was wash normally. The trick is the post processing I do to the photos. It's shiny, don't get me wrong, but the reflections are enhanced a bit in the editing. ;)

Yup, I liked the SS front end a lot more than the LT front end. So I switched it. The same for the wheels, I really wasn't feeling the 19's, so off they went.

Nice, well try claybar and wax it will be like that naturally ;) I will try to post some of mine up

I can only imagine how the shine will come out after a claybar and wax!:emoticon17::sm0:

Dude, I was gonna say "Damn that black car looks blue it's so shiny!" :confused0068: Then I saw your sig and it's an IBM! Nice job on the clay and wax.

DragonCamaro 04-19-2010 05:15 PM

Took me about 3 or 4 hours to clay because i took my time. and then another like 30 to apply wax wait and then buff it off..

Tx1Lt 04-19-2010 05:17 PM

Clay doesn't remove scratches right? Isn't it for water spots and bird crap stains? I have a few scratches I want to get rid of.

Lbness 04-19-2010 05:30 PM

Clay will remove light scratches in the clear ....
it is worth the effort for sure and on my clack cars it always made me feel great

He is mine after clay and wax

The shine is a side effect of the sky effect. You're basically looking at several exposures on top of one another. I'll post up the original pic so you can see the difference.

Tx1Lt 04-20-2010 03:07 PM

Here's the pic in just like I took it...

And here's the "Enhanced" version... I think I deleted it by accident from my OP.

Very cool, thanks for the before and after!

I used a canon t1i DSLR camera. Then tone mapped the pics with "Mediachance Dynamic HDR" Software. Then I cleaned up the pics in Photoshop CS4.

Thanks, been looking for a another tool to try. Haven't used that one. Did you snap pics at different exposures and combine or let the software convert a single picture for a simulated HDR?

2010 SSRS 04-23-2010 04:42 PM

Cool pics

Good question! With that software I use the one pic, but I shoot in RAW format and use that. (No need for bracketing with a RAW, for full HDR.) The one pic simulated feature on that program works really good tho. I really recommend that program, it's very easy to use.

Highjacking the thread but why do you block your plate ?. When your on the road it's there for the world to see. It's not a social security number or anything.
PS: They are good photos/artwork of your Camaro.
