Mindz' 2010 Supercharged SS detailed (pic heavy, no 56k)

Jay (Mindz) and I have been talking about doing a nice detail on his 2010 SS even before he took delivery. It took a little while to get our schedules together since he works nights but I got him a loaner car while I was working on his beautiful Camaro to make things easier for him. With the recent paintwork on the hood, trunk, and fender, there were some holograms left behind by the body shop. Took out the holograms and majority of the swirls in the paint. Followed it up with multiple coats of Zaino and sealed the wheels with Optimum Opti-Seal for protection. Onto the pics...

Upon delivery of the car...

After stripping the old wax the holograms and swirls were more easily spotted.

Out in the sun after a few IPA wipedowns to ensure there was no filling of fine swirls by the oils in the polishes.

I thought I'd throw in some water beading shots. After my detailing, the water should bead like this. If your paint doesn't do this, its time for some detailing.

Good Lord, man!

If I tossed a towel on that sucker, I'd bet it slides right off....HUGE difference. I need to get mind done. I have a brand new box of Zaino right here in my garage...now, if I could only find teh time to USE IT.

Looks GREAT! Congrats!

Mindz 05-25-2010 12:00 AM

Worth every cent he charged. Had I the money he'd do this every month.

jagan323 05-25-2010 12:38 AM

How much did that detailing cost? Because wow... that is some crazy detailing. Looks so awesome. I have a black car... mine looks like it went through war and back from the grave...

CamaroDreams07 05-25-2010 12:52 AM

Looks amazing. Pardon me if this is a noob question, but how do you go about polishing the CF parts? Same way as the paint?

That looks incredible. The paint, the stance... Now that is one detailed ride.

ron10 05-25-2010 09:37 PM

great job.

mlee 05-25-2010 09:40 PM

One of my favorite cars.... simply awesome!!!

2LTRS 05-25-2010 10:51 PM

Great job polishing out all those swirls and holograms... Shame there are so many idiots out there with rotary buffers and compound that call themselves professionals. I guess if you get paid to "detail" your a "professional." lol

Anyways, nice save - the depth in the blue is amazing.

Jeanius 05-26-2010 01:21 AM

Damn that Stillen pic is MONEY!!!!!!!

So jealous...

Sir Nuke 05-26-2010 09:23 AM

Jeanius 05-26-2010 12:19 PM

Hey Mindz what are the drops in that Stillen pic? Same as when I seen it?

Landshark 05-26-2010 12:27 PM
