*UPDATE*WORST DEALER WORK EVER!!!*look at what they did to my baby*

Here is the update, they fixed it but I'm still not happy! I made them give me a work order sheet, I MADE them write that we both, service advisor and I, saw the improperly installed bumper. The grill is NOT sitting against the turn signal area of the headlight, there is a gap. On my way out I also noticed that all the top screws had NOT been tightened.

He gave me a card for a body shop that they work with, he told me to take it and see what they said....I told him I wouldn't pay for anything, he said the dealer and the bodyshop would work things out.

NOW...my question to you guys. Can you guys do me a big favor and check if there is a gap between your stock grill and the turn signal portion of the headlight...thanks!

So I took my car to:

Bud Eyre Chevrolet
321 N. China Lake Boulevard
Ridgecrest, CA 93555

To change out my headlight, I had one of those different color halo problems. The service guy Mike was awesome at helping me out, he saw the problem and put the part on order.

Today I got a call that the part was received. I dropped her off at 745am, at about 5pm I stopped by to pick her up. I looked over her and see that the front fascia is all F***ed up and warped!!! I call Mike out and he gets his supervisor (he mentioned was also half owner) to take a look at it, I hear the effin guy say ''was it like that when he brought it in?'' mike says ''NO'' guy says ''oh well, tell him to leave it'' WTF!!! no apology! I was expecting the supervisor/owner to be a little bit concerned, but nothing!! didnt even come out to see it!!

I left her there and hope they can fix her tomorrow! I feel f***ing sick!!!
needless to say, I AM NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN! and if you are from around here, I suggest you do the same!

That is simply inexcusable.
They better not make you pay for it.

mhood 06-07-2010 09:04 PM

It's hard to get good help these days...

HOZAY 06-07-2010 09:05 PM

lmao. I find it hard to believe no one noticed that.

If they had told you,
"It's the new 2011 update for your Camaro!"

I would've cried laughing.

But no, in all seriousness, that's terrible. How in the HECK did they manage that?!

ron10 06-07-2010 09:07 PM

that is unbelievable.

Tam's Cam 06-07-2010 09:07 PM

I would be mad as hell. Especially not even getting an apology. :mad0260:
I hope all is well when you pick it up tomorrow!!

BackinBlackSS/RS 06-07-2010 09:08 PM

I just don't understand how this was left like that. WTH are people thinking?

WiccaJew 06-07-2010 09:09 PM

What the heck it looks like they pulled the bezel out when they put the light in. That is messed up. Make sure you take a CLOSE look at it when you pick it up to make sure they didn't try and bandage it. Look at it with the hood open and in every which way.!

Oh my god!

Similar thing happened to me when I had my last car. Had a private shop put a clutch in and when I got the car back the front right fender had 3 huge creases dents in it, looked AWFUL. When I tried to call the owner of the shop out on it and showed him it he claimed they dont even lean on that fender to put the clutch in and none of his guys did that. I put up a fuss and refused to leave until he finally agreed to pay my $500 deductible to get it fixed. I know that "feeling" you have and it sucks, I am sorry.

I cannot believe you didn't get an appology!

I've been thinking about shit like this for quite a while - it makes me wonder if they can just give you the part under warranty and the option to fix it yourself. I can definitely do a better job than the damn dealership on stuff like this that requires patience and the overall attitude "LET'S NOT F THIS UP."

formuladan 06-07-2010 09:20 PM

Wow, that's just absolutely horrible. How in the world could they even think about returning the car to you in that condition. I've had my car for almost a year and it hasn't been back to the dealer since I took delivery. Unless something under warranty breaks it'll never see a service department.

Hope they fix it to your satisfaction.

I completely agree! I thought about this the day the part was placed on order, but thought nah, they would never agree. Now I regret not asking! specially if it still looks like ass after they fix it. I hope its not all creased up and warped when I get it.

P.S. thanks for feeling the pain, its nice to have people that understand!

OUTATIME 06-07-2010 09:29 PM

Not to scare you, but you know they took a shortcut once with your car - they'll probably do it again, even to fix their own mistake.

Make sure they didn't simply bend the plastic back into place - it'll never look right again.

kjd15 06-07-2010 09:30 PM

That's terrible. Someone messed up and probably was too scared to admit what he had done. I hope they fix it to your approval and don't charge you a dime. They should be bending over backwards to keep your business.

Camaro2SSLS3 06-07-2010 09:30 PM

i cannot believe they thought you wouldnt notice that? What a bunch of @-holes

you're right...I'll make sure to look at it up and down before i take it.

bobakane 06-07-2010 09:32 PM

That is wrong...the way the economy is, you would think businesses would treat the customer like they are kings/queens, but they seemed to chase customers away with crap like that.

orange10s.c. 06-07-2010 09:33 PM

WTF !!!! That is just rediculous.

That's no mistake, that's purely poor workmanship.

Kinetic Kev HWSE 2013 06-07-2010 09:40 PM

What a bunch of morons, the tech that worked on the car should be crucified for messing up like that. Being that piece is only plastic is should be pretty easy to fix, Hope all goes well.
