Reported on Camaro5 Homepage.

The Firebreather, the hero car from upcoming movie Jinn and based on the Chevrolet Camaro, is now available for ordering. Production is limited to 50 units and pricing starts at $60,000.

Customized parts include a unique front fascia, new headlights (with LED halos), a revised hood, side sill extensions, and a modified rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. Other styling tweaks include new taillights, a rear spoiler, and 20-inch wheels outfitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Inside, the cabin boasts leather upholstery, piano black trim, red ambient lighting, special floor mats, and an individually numbered plaque.

Power is provided by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with a cold-air induction system and a 3-inch cat-back dual exhaust. It produces 599 hp (447 kW / 607 PS) instead of the standard 426 hp (318 kW / 432 PS).

I'm totally with you. IMO, it's kinda Trans Am looking in the front..

AMPM1678 08-06-2010 12:56 AM

Im jus not feelin it I mean its an extra 30 grand jus for the new look???? the interior is the same except for the firebird logo on the head rests and we don't even know how it does performance wise. But if someone wants to go for it and buy it than more power to ya

djsnoflake 08-06-2010 01:24 AM

lets_go_bills 08-06-2010 03:13 AM

I like the rear end but, the front end reminds me of an article I read a little while ago.

Brownhornitt 08-06-2010 03:46 AM

Uhhhh. Isn't it supposed to look like a Firebird? Firebird... Firebreather? I thought that's what they were aiming for. Shaker hood, pointy front fascia, grill, front and rear lights, insignia, wraparound spoiler... I think they captured it. It looks cool. Not 30K cool. But I think it's pretty cool. It looks like a sweet Firebird.

GB EB 08-06-2010 04:08 AM

Dare I say it????

Not a fan.

rawj7 08-06-2010 05:41 AM

Not my cup of tea

Definitely for what you're getting... a Z-28 is the clear winner. But I have to say that's a pretty sweet looking ride. Not worth an extra 30K (if using the base SS model as the starting point)... but neat looking to say the least.

Never been a fan of the Firebird... so I guess that it'll peak the interest of those types. I do like what they did to the front and it gives me some ideas for the future with my car.

Ironheadspearo 08-06-2010 07:45 AM

I think it is ok but not worth double the price. maybe 7 grand more maybe if you were so inclined. i am sure they will sell a few but if the price was realistic they might sell alot of them

jpizzle007 08-06-2010 08:51 AM

Where does the fire come out of? What type of range is there on the flames...20 yds? Is it possible to upgrade from fire breathing to possibly sharks with friggin lazer beams on their heads?

CamaroSkooter 08-06-2010 08:56 AM

If they sold the rear fascia by itself I would buy... I think those taillights look wicked :)

armysig 08-06-2010 09:14 AM

Should have kept it a movie prop. With so many after market companies putting a limited number on how many they make, it's almost as if they are flooding the market with limited produced cars.

Hell I have a 1 of 1 U.S. Army Signal Corps Camaro then....Gimmie money....:D

Plus with the Z 28 on the verge of getting released, this is just poor timing on their part.

My change is going in my jar, and then to the bank for my down payment on a Z!

MIT'13 08-06-2010 09:32 AM

This thing is impressive. I hate to say it, but if I had the choice I'd take it over a Camaro. Extremely well planned and put together vehicle.

geminidreams 08-06-2010 09:38 AM

Not for me either looks like a TA.

CamaroFreako 08-06-2010 09:38 AM

I would take it over a camaro too, it looks awesome!!!

mycamaroisred 08-06-2010 09:43 AM

It's not the price it's the custom work they did that's insane I love it.. If I had the money I'd get it it's a sharp lookin car

ron10 08-06-2010 09:49 AM

i don't think so.
