non vvt cams do make gains but also shift your power band up or down...all in cam spec. So yes...big cam may make big gains up top but it could hurt you down low. More gear like the other guy said...

Heck, I pulled a 1LE stock camaro pretty solid with my 09 with just a tune and a Vararam...and I have 2.56 gears. Vettes are a whole 'nother ball game. Lighter car...and more aero.

you know...I've learned something...OTS cams do work. As long as the shop doing them will make a minor tweak here or there to your combo. But that being said...some still flat out work. not always...

Turbos will like the long gearing on the 4l80. Try it with the stock 3.27 rear. I would bet you worry less about top end and end up getting 3.91s or bigger for it.
