I bought a roll of sunvisor material from Home Depot, cut and glued to the inside of the heat shield. Definitely made a difference (on my specially calibrated hand thermometer).

I don't know if you have tube bending capabilities but I get all of my hoops on eBay, and just weld them on, usually under $50. Looking good.

I had those on my last Camaro, and will go back to them when these Pirelli's wear out. Not as sticky but they'll last you a lot longer.

Get a little bit of paint thinner or acetone on your finger and gently rub the lifting area. It'll re-liquify the plasti-dip, and once it dries you can touch that area up with more spray.
