The engine should be able to handle anything under 10psi with good tuning, octane and enough fuel supply.

YES!

LT headers are NOT what makes a exhaust sound aweful. Its what people put behind them or not put behind them that make a LT header equipped exhaust sound bad.

Factory FI cats are much stronger than aftermarket high flow cats like you get from Kooks or ARH. They rob power but with the stock tune or correct aftermarket tune they hold up.
