Yah you definitely only want to go as small as absolutely necessary imo. I would first verify your oil drain is good, no blockages, kinks, turns ect... I had smoking issues with my stage 1...

I threw on the 4 an line with no restrictor, so now only running with the factory installed restrictor. So far no smoke at idle. Still waiting on cold side parts to be able to drive it...

Yes it runs great up until over 5k rpm in most cases. it doesnt always cut out. But I can get it to do it more consistently when flooring it through 2nd gear....

Yeah you're right. Technically not pegged. . But close . Ran correctly before alot of work. Cam replaced, heads rebuilt lifters replaced. Basically the whole valvetrain.

Normal daily driving everything runs fine. 3/4 or less throttle easing...
