Probably is it, too much pressure and it will find the weakest point to get out. I actually don't get much oil in my catch cans after I switched oils.

Is that rust or oil blow-by? That rubber seal is leaking badly either way. I had a small amount of oil in that area when I didn't have the PCV setup correctly to vacuum.
