Yes. I believe they came out with a fixed replacement. Not sure if there's a TSB but there's something on it. Its shown somewhere earlier in this thread.

Yup. They'll pull the entire dash and then realize their mistake and put it back. Then send you home for another week to order the right part. That's what they did to me. And now my dash doesn't line...

I'd hope not a lawyer. Call the GM corporate offices. They worked wonders for me when a dealership messed up my rim and refused to fix it saying I hit a wall in my car.... So did opening up a BBB...
