I returned my comp cam and went with Cam Motion. They use a higher quality steel.

That's a lot of lift for stock rocker arms. Going by what Brian Tooley Racing suggest; keep the lift below .630. When you go to a .650 lift it puts more wear and tear on the stock rocker arms.

You would only need to drop it if changing out oil pump or timing chain. Why wouldn't you want to spend an extra $300 for better parts. I highly recommend you rethink about being cheap and replacing...
