Because we do not have a dipstick to check the level, I would have the dealer rack the car and add transmission fluid at least till they find this leak.

I do the same thing put 7 in and drive it till oil temperature gets to normal temp, then finish topping off the oil. Engine oil really expands a lot on the dipstick at normal operating temperatur.

Did the dealer rack the car and check the fluid level in the trans? If is overfilled it could be coming from the vent at the top.

I would jump on and stay on highway 1 first chance you get and forget about highway 101. Highway 1 will seriously test your suspension. They parallel each other with one right on the coast.
