I put a Hurst on my 2011 and it was like your present shifter. The factory ZL1 shifter is very smooth. I don't think I would change it even if someone gave me an aftermarket shifter.

Sounds like your dealer has a problem. The recall just knocks the switchblade key out of your remote fob and they give you a separate key. You get to keep your remote fob!!!!!!!

It depends on where the fob is in the run position. On my girl friends Equinox, the fob is straight up in the run position. On our Camaro's, the fob is toward the front of the car in the run...
