Interestingly, I tried 2 different locs and still had pop. Now I just tipped the front speaker outs with rca plugs into the gl isolators and I'm cured. I can't confidently attribute pop to the locs...

I'm telling y'all... Ground loop isolator on your source wires pre-amp. Done. $20 from RadioShack. Works for me. Take it off... Pop. Put it back on... No pop. Easy.

Sounds good. I ended up snipping the smallest ring of the boot on bottom. I wrestled the rest up over the linkage. It took time and patience, but its been on a week now with no problems.

Correction....just received the Razo 340 gram. It is significantly heavier than stock. Stock had a little heft to it...surprisingly so, but this 340g knob is probably twice as heavy.

I don't know that I HAD to drill all the way through, but that's how the stock shift shaft was, so that's how I did the Barton OEM adapter shaft.
