Even if the V8 were the same speed as a V6 but $5000 more expensive, people would STILL buy it and think it made them better because "you gotta have a V8."

That's a waste of money now and a waste of money over the life of the car with gas & insurance. I'll be going for mods that reduce my gas costs, not drive them up, thanks.
