I think you forgot one of the most important parts on a VVT cam swap! The cam phaser solenoid bolt it is after all a one time use torque to yield bolt! :)

Yes remove the factory tensioner and replace it with the LS2 damper.

The lifters are not what will cost to go solid roller it's the adjustable shaft mount rockers an taller valve covers.

Nothing wrong with a low mileage factory chain but the stock tensioner tend to break so we use the LS2 dampers. If you want to replace the chain then use the C5R chain. We always keep the factory L99...
