I would do it right and pull the door panel off, it's about 10 min of work. I don't think you would be able to compress those clips from the outside.

I had mine out on Saturday to replace my cloth...

I had mine out on Saturday to replace my cloth seat covers. Used a butane burner, heated the bolt 10 sec. and used a regular ratchet about 12" long with a t50 bit. they came out in about 5 seconds.

Maybe it's a programming issue. Mine always comes on with the last screen I was on. If I shut the car off with navigation screen, it comes back on with the navigation screen. This is certainly weird.

A red tape would not give you red. Red and Blue in a spectrum would give you green and the light output would be very dim. Just replace the LED with a red one.

I got mine from GEN5DIY complete to the last bolt. I did cut the slots with a Dremel. 2 hours of fun, fits perfect on a V6.
