40lb front and probably 32lb rear hot tire pressures. 1,000 RPM, and let the computer shift it. Not as much fun, but faster and more consistent.

I have a '13 SS. I've never held the brakes and stomped the gas, but if I have my foot on the brake and slowly give it gas, it will go to about 1,500rpm.

I put a Hurst on my 2011 and it was like your present shifter. The factory ZL1 shifter is very smooth. I don't think I would change it even if someone gave me an aftermarket shifter.
