I know... I heard the exact same thing when I bought the flat black harley. But I can tell you that after 2 years, it looked like new (about 10,000 miles).

I can't say the same for the gloss black...

That's not a problem Stig - that's a benefit. I had a satin black Harley for years. You never polished it. Wash, dry, plus they they make satin finish cleaners, which is what I used on my matte black...
