Does it hurt the convertible top if you don't put the boot on?

I have a 2011 camaro convertible and when I am driving on the highway with the top down and not booted it tends to flap. Will this hurt the fabric of the top? The boot is nice but a pain to keep...

Thanks for the input. I am putting Foose Legend SS wheels on the car, 8.5x20 with 245-45 tires on the front and 10x20 with 295-40 on the rear, how will this effect performance?

My friend's Challanger SRT8 has alot more wheel breaking power in the low end than my 2ss rs Camaro Convertible. What can you do to increase the low end power?

I have a new camaro convertible 2ss rs and I want to buy new wheels, 20" Ruff 280 10" rear 8.5" front.

Will these wheels perform well on the car and can you lower the car by 1" with these wheels?
