I think you would have to pop the cover off the light from the outside. I don't see how you could do it from inside/under the trunk lid. Never done it myself though.

You probably could but the 1SS and 1LT come with a vinyl cover, not leather. I haven't seen the leather covers but I'm sure you could remove it and have the embroidered SS or RS logo added then...

Camaro is my first manual in a car. Both of my previous vehicles, '92 GMC Sierra and '08 Tahoe, are autos. All my motorcycles have been manual but I wouldn't say that helps much with the transition.
