This. I replaced both outer boots and the left started leaking again. Then switched to 1LE axles and haven't had any problems since. Having a blown motor helps with not having them leak also.

I don't know the piston to valve clearance. The cam specs are as follows. .617/.623 231/243 on 115 and its a 3 bolt cam. I don't think there was any PTV contact until after the connecting rods...
