Problem is they really don't capture the needles. My stock trunnions failed at 55K miles with 45K of that with a performance cam. 30K miles later with 10K on a new cam the Comp trunnions started...

I would say if the code comes back try to find out what resistance should be at the sensor and break out the multi tester to see what you got. May just need a sensor.
