He is right, the ZL1 diff is a good option, gear selection is not as wide as say the other options but for under 1000Hp it cant be beat (may want to use aftermarket axles and Driveshaft on it though)

That looks like the Diff end, the axle actually centers in the diff, its either not all the way in the diff or the bore is bad or the outer diameter of the axle stub.
