Not sure why you'd say this. Z28 is rated at 481 ftlbs factory. My modded LS3 is 419 at the wheels. That would be a parasitic loss of 12.8%, probably pretty close to reality.

Try quality headers with cats into the stock catback. This will give you a strong power bump with quality sound.
