No. Believe it or not, hot minimum oil pressure specs are very, very low: 6psi @ 1000 RPM & 18psi @ 2000 RPM.

Mine was a Melling oil pump with 65psi cold and 35psi hot.

I took a different approach to seat the pickup...

I took a different approach to seat the pickup tube before I tightened the bolt. You can sneak some channel locks in there and gently squeeze the tube into place, hooking on the pickup tube flange...

There is a TSB that replaces the entire reservoir for this problem. Fixed mine after different caps were tried.

I use Redline in both the axle and transmission....

I use Redline in both the axle and transmission. I used Redline's friction modifier as well, and have had good results with it.
