I have in the past , and dont mind doing it now, you need to get a 2 or 3 way video switch, it a set of relays that will power up when given 12V+ and set that video as prime video, i have it going in...

The signal on a 2013 camaro camera goes to the BCM and from there is to the MY-link, you can add a camara to any car
