I love answering questions about my seats at cars and coffee, or at small cruise nights. I run containment Kirkeys. Everyone asks me, "Did you put those in to save weight?", I say "Not just for that,...

i bought mine at 6400 miles back in 2017. I got nagged into doing my first autocross, and was instantly hooked. Now it has 10,000 miles on it. Roughly 75-80 races under its belt with roughly 45-50...

I can't see giving up that much size. I'm 100% certain that an RE-71RS is faster than a 660, size for size, but hard to say when giving up 20mm.

Does anyone have any info if they will be making...

I bought a cracked LS7 block off of a racer friend of mine. Was cracked from a valve snapping off. The crack went into the water jacket. His local machine shop wouldn't touch it. I paid him $200 for...

You should try an autocross with your ZL1. If you are a good bracket racer at the drag strip, you'll likely be a good autocrosser. I say this because a good bracket racer has 1 million things going...

I was talking about stock-ish cars that get tracked. I race autocross. The popular class would be F-Street where the Mach 1 and SS 1LE play. Only changes are 1 sway bar, front or rear, whatever tw200...

I race autocross. I see results much different. The GT500 would be dead last at most any track I race at. A ZL1-1LE would be "ok".

At the SCCA Nationals there were 4 Mach 1's in the top ten...

I know lots of guys that purchase new cars to race, every few years. Right off of the showroom, slap some tires on, and head to the races. You won't be able to do that with a Chevy next year. I'm...

Guys that race....Are you thinking of getting a Mustang in the next few years?

It's not like we'll have a choice in the matter if we want a pony car. For me, I'll always keep my Z, but I love the new Mach 1's, and GT350's. Seems that the new Dark Horse is right on par with the...

Turn all of the nannies off. The "track modes" that they develop for these cars are done at a race track. In autocross you'll be turning the wheel sharper, and there will be times when you want the...

I'm no tire expert, but can tell you what I've been told. Once a tire is scrubbed and went through a heat cycle or 3, then the clock is ticking. If it has never been mounted before, it "should" be...

There's really nothing specific about a Z that wears out early or anything. At 2000 miles it should still be minty fresh. As others said check the tires, and possibly the battery. Both are likely the...

9-lives has the market cornered as far as price point goes. Most people aren't willing to shell out $4000 on a carbon wing. They'll take a chance on an aluminum wing that can be had for around $1000...
