He's probably looking at 11-12psi if his belt doesn't slip. I'm running an 81mm and I see about 9.5psi. I have long tube headers and a blower cam though.

Whoa.....You need to back up a step or two and take a deep breath:nod: You went from wanting 670ish (entirely doable) to wanting 750ish (not impossible, but not near as easy). You're at the cusp of...

If you get your fueling "right", you shouldn't have any trouble hitting your numbers. You're spinning the blower fast enough and moving enough air. Adding meth would give you a little octane cushion...

If your power goals are high, there's no sense in doing this. As mentioned, you're going to run out of valve train stability and oiling long before the benefits of a shorter stroke bottom end can...

If you want to do it on the cheap, use a 4.8L truck crank and rods. The connecting rods are longer so the pin position on off the shelf LS3 pistons would work. You'd just have to spec a higher...

Unless the cam is pretty aggressive, I wouldn't add a higher stall converter with a p/d blower. Especially a TVS. With a centri, I would if qtr mile/stoplite performance really matters to you.

As mentioned, a little more camshaft is more important with a p/d blower. Anything you can do to lower the boost will also lower IAT's. Not quite as important with centri's and turbo's because they...

You're 100% dead nuts correct. The vast vast majority don't want to pay for and don't want to live with those kind of power numbers though. The OEM's don't want to warrant them either.

If the centri blowers were all that superior, why don't the OEM's use them? They can't be that stupid. If it was a cost thing, at least some of the high end, low volume sports cars would use them....

Yup. As long as you don't over cam it. Go too big on the cam and you can significantly reduce the bottom end power.

If you paid Whipple for the blower with the warranty, they have to honor it. If you paid a third party (as in, the one that went out of business), you're pretty much skrewed.

At mild boost, the one that comes with the smallest pulley is going to make the most HP. They all use the same rotor pack. Might be some minor tune differences. Go with the cheapest one or the one...

Well, when the blowers are moving an equal amount of air, it really is a good comparison. The 2.3L blower needs to spin faster to move the same amount of air vs a 2.9L blower. They're both positive...

You would have to pulley the 2.3L Maggie down to 3.17" to equal the amount of air the 2.9L Whipple is moving with a 4" pulley. Pulley the Maggie down that low and there wouldn't be much HP...
