Since you really can't drive the car at any point from the beginning of the install until you're completely done, I'm not sure it really matters when you load the tune, as long as you do it before...

RX system appears to need to have the main pulley swapped for their alternative with a second set of grooves to drive a second belt to the S/C. The IPF kit uses a longer belt and a couple of idler...

The S/C units are long term survivors. The do require a bit of maintenance (oil change @ 5K miles on the IPF unit, should be same for the RX centrifi), but other than that, they don't really intrude...
