You can get the job done with a bench vice or c-clamp and some sockets if that's the way you want to do it. A shop press makes it a little easier to keep everything straight on the way in.

I use blue loctite on rocker bolts. Some folks use teflon sealer. I think you'd be fine either way. Red loctite would be a bad idea for those of us that have to change springs every so often...

That's pretty much it. Just little stuff to pay attention to. Don't torque on a lobe, make sure the bolt holes are clean and dry, put a little oil on everything before you close it up and run it.

If you threw another $380 + tune at the problem you could have a new cam to put in while you're at it. As it stands you'll likely be re-spending $400+ when you finally do decide to do a cam.
