Does anyone have a DYI on the bypass to the daytime running lights? I would rather no lights be on than those things, as an alternative to buying nicer bulbs. thanks.

Not sure what you mean by type but whatever you do, make sure they extend slightly past the hood. I would say mail slot as a marking if you had the SS, but in your case it's slightly past the hood.
