I would try a 28mm rear 1le bar but a 25mm zl1 front bar for a more neutral balance. If you still want more understeer for safety go with the 1le front bar

Yeah, don't do the old style bar. your 24mm solid bar is equal to about a 27mm hollow bar just to compare. The new style fe4 bar is then 4times more effective over the 2010 fe3 style on top of that

I have had the V Max for years. I got same feel, more crisp throttle response and better bottom end feel. Your not going to feel 5 hp on top but I never expected to to. Works good .
