Dyno tune is the only way to go. My tuner even gave me a programmer with extra tunes. As far as LT headers go with stainless works and their cat back. Best sound and performance available.

Hi-temp exhaust silicone should be used at each joint where you have a clamp. It helps seal against small leaks.

Sounds about right. 400 stock at fly wheel then subtract about 18-20% for rwhp. Puts you right in the ballpark. mine came in at 420 rwhp but that's with long tube headers and a tune.

Edelbrock claims 585hp to 600hp. you can get more with different pullies. Nice set up and everything comes with the kit. Also check out Kenne Bell SCs they really put out some power.

Beartooth pass is definitely a fun time. In NoCal lots of fun roads around the Clear lake area. Missoula MT. rte 93 to Stanley then Stanley to Boise via 21. Drove these last year and had a blast.

With what you've done so far , no tune is really necessary. Wait until you put some long tube headers or a cam before you worry about the tune.

I've been traveling all over the country for the last year. Road surface definitely contributes to road noise. It varies from state to state and if whether the surface is concrete or asphalt.

Must be the way you drive. I drive it like I stole it most of the time, Shift at 6000 rpm, when traffic isn't heavy. That gets you 35-40 1st gear, 65+ 2nd , 90+ 3rd.
