I had a similar issue on my Monte Carlo SS. If you look at the track, I bet it is dirty and grimy. I just wiped it down and used some lithium grease to lube it back up.

What type of tire pressure gauges do you use? I don't like the cheap stick/pencil type gauges. They are spring loaded and it the spring doesn't have just the right amount of tension, it can be off....
