I chose to use the outside as the stencil and paint the image on. I also taped the rest of the cover for obvious reasons.

At this point, I had 2 options: use the outside layer as the stencil and paint the image on or use the inside as the stencil and paint everything else using the original paint as the finished product

I have plasti dipped so much on mine and I just found out about it last week. It's great. I did the gauge bezels and the center console as well yesterday. Turned out great.

I was in school so I had to take some time off upgrading so I did some small projects: painted bowties, tinted tail lights, and took some great pics when the weather wasnear perfect.

Looks good. I like the overall look of a good short throw shifter. It has a nice traditional look. Sucks your car got hit though. I just got mine out of the shop from being sideswiped.
